Missing her already...

Early this morning, my Nana passed away at her home. She was 87 years old and had been married to my grandfather, Crip, for 65 years! She meant more to me than the words I can think of to say...she was my Nana. We will miss her dearly and I know the days ahead don't hold the struggles she had been facing for the last few months, but it doesn't make losing her any easier.

What a gem she was..a true Southern lady who I had the pleasure and joy of knowing for 36 years. The one thing death cannot take from us is our memories...you will certainly cherish the many memories you have of your Nana.

We mourn with you, too, Alexa. We were so very lucky that she became part of our family through you. She will be missed greatly.
